🔊 Why is my AED Beeping? (Troubleshooting Guide)
If your AED is chirping or the status indicator is RED or has a X, it likely needs a new battery.
⚠️ WARNING: A “Beeping” AED is Not Rescue Ready.
Most AED batteries last 4-5 Years in standby mode. If you haven’t replaced yours since 2021, it is likely critical.

How to Check Your Battery Status:
- Philips OnSite/FRx: Look for the flashing green light. If it’s not flashing, press the blue “i” button for voice instructions.
- Zoll AED Plus: Check the status window for a green checkmark ✔️. If you see a red X, replace the batteries immediately.
- Cardiac Science G3/G5: Ensure the “Rescue Ready” indicator is Green. If it is Red/Black, the battery is dead.
