Replacing your expired aviation battery takes less than two minutes. Follow these simple steps to ensure your AED is rescue-ready:
- Locate the Battery Compartment: Turn your Defibtech Lifeline VIEW AED over so the back of the unit is facing up. Locate the battery pack seated in the center cavity.
- Remove the Expired Battery: Firmly press the battery release latch located on the side of the battery pack. The battery will pop up slightly. Pull the expired battery completely out of the unit.
- Insert the New DCF-2013 Battery: Take your fresh aviation battery and press it firmly into the empty cavity until you hear a distinct “click,” ensuring the latch has fully engaged.
