8 Real-World Training Scenarios
This unit does not just repeat the same loop. It features eight pre-configured scenarios covering a wide range of cardiac arrest situations. This prevents students from memorizing a script and forces them to react to voice prompts.
- Scenario 1: Shockable rhythm (VF), one shock required, followed by CPR.
- Scenario 2: Shockable rhythm, shock delivery fails (troubleshooting), followed by CPR.
- Scenario 3: Shockable rhythm, troubleshooting pads (poor contact), shock delivered.
- Scenario 4: Non-shockable rhythm (Asystole), CPR required immediately.
- Scenario 5-8: Variations involving strip placement errors, battery low simulation, and pediatric rescue (when Key is inserted).
Configuration & Control
Instructors have full control over the training environment without needing a separate remote control:
- Scenario Selection: Easily change scenarios by holding the On/Off button and the Information “i” button.
- Volume Control: Adjustable volume levels for large classrooms or quiet testing environments.
- Pause Function: Instructors can pause the scenario at any time to correct a student’s technique, then resume exactly where they left off.
Pediatric Training Capabilities
The FRx Trainer is unique because it uses the same pads for adults and children. To simulate a pediatric rescue (Infants/Children under 55 lbs):
- Insert the Infant/Child Key (Sold Separately).
- The Trainer automatically reduces the simulated shock energy.
- The voice coaching changes to pediatric-specific CPR instructions (15:2 ratio).
