Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where is the expiration date on Defibtech pads?
A: The expiration date is printed on the outside of the black/yellow foil pouch. It is formatted as YYYY-MM. You must replace the pads before the end of that month.
Q: Can I use these pads on a child?
A: NO. DDP-100 pads are for adults (8+ years / 55+ lbs). For pediatric patients, you must use the DDP-200P Pediatric Pads.
Q: Do I need to disconnect the pads when not in use?
A: No! Always keep the pads pre-connected to the AED. This saves critical time during an emergency and allows the AED to perform self-tests on the pad connection.
